When a group of non-believers heard that Jesus brought a man (Lazarus) back to life, they plotted to kill Jesus. They apparently feared that Jesus was becoming too popular and that he might try to lead a rebellion against the Romans. Jesus then took refuge in the quiet town of Ephraim (John 11:54) near the wilderness and stayed their for a while with his disciples. John 11:1-57
