Map shows many of the places in Israel that Jesus visited about 2000 years ago, as noted in the four Gospels (the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). Click on any of the map markers and more information about that place will pop up.

Not shown on map: the regions of Galilee, Judea, Perea and Samaria. Jesus traveled throughout Israel, including these regions. Galilee is in northern Israel and was ruled by Herod Antipas, a son of King Herod the Great, who had died years earlier. Judea includes Jerusalem and southern Israel and was part of the area ruled by Pontius Pilate, a Roman governor. Perea is east of the Jordan River and was ruled by Herod Antipas. Samaria is in central Israel, between Galilee and Judea, and was ruled by Pontius Pilate.
